Alexander is the Federal Policy Manager for ACEEE where he is responsible for leading the organization's federal policy outreach activities and defining the organization's strategic direction on national policy. He uses his legal education and experience as a former Congressional staffer to advocate for a cleaner future by advancing energy efficiency. Alexander is an avid miniature painter and board gamer and enjoys spending time with his wife, Anna, and son, Avi.

Andres is the Research Director at Creative Renewable Solutions LLC (CRS) where he leads renewable energy market research and consulting services for clean energy developers and investment management funds. Both a computational scientist and an energy market specialist, he is committed to creating clean energy solutions through rigorous data analysis and deep industry research. Prior to joining CRS Andres worked at Avangrid Renewables where he focused on strategic planning and techno-economic modeling of renewable energy systems, battery storage, pumped hydro, and emerging technologies. Andres holds a B.Sc. in Nuclear Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Anneliese is a Manager in the Transaction Services practice at K&M Advisors, focused on renewable energy development in emerging markets. In her role, she provides project management, financial modeling, market analysis, risk evaluation, PPP project structuring, competitive procurement advisory, and business development for international energy projects. She received her Master’s degree in Energy, Resources, and the Environment and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, spending her first year at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center in Nanjing, China. Anneliese enjoys running half marathons, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her dog, Schuyler.

Ashley Brooks is the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Project Manager at the Department of Energy's Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO), located in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. In this role, Ashley is responsible for integrating DEI into WPTO programming and initiatives with a focus on engagement and outreach. In her spare time, Ashley is an avid equestrian and dog mom.

Senior Analyst (Principal White House Liaison, Environmental Program Budget), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

Bradley (Brad) Grams (they/them) is the Principal White House Liaison for Environmental Protection Budgeting at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer, where they lead the formulation of the Agency’s budget with its senior leaders, as well as The White House and Congress. Outside of the EPA, Mr. Grams is an Adjunct Lecturer at Northwestern University, where they focus on research and program evaluation methods in the public sector and lead their Public Policy/Administration and LGBTQ+ Mentorship Programs. They are also an active volunteer at The University of Chicago’s Program on the Global Environment and Institute of Politics, supporting their justice-, equity-, diversity- and inclusion- (JEDI-) oriented, identity-based career pipeline, job coaching, and mentoring programs. They hold degrees in Chemistry and Environmental Studies from The University of Chicago (AB/SB, 2005), and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) from Northwestern University (2017).

Christina Cilento is an Associate Policy Fellow at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES), where she advances nature-based solutions to climate change in the agriculture, forestry, and land-use sectors. Prior to working at C2ES, Christina worked in Laos for three years, examining how investments in hydropower, mining, and agriculture impacted communities' livelihoods and land rights. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, jigsaw puzzles, and pretending she's on "Chopped" when she cooks.

Emily Piontek advocates for Energy Democracy in Virginia, where she works as a grassroots organizer for Appalachian Voices. She is passionate about embedding equity in our transition to a clean energy future and works to do so in part by centering communities in decision-making related to our energy system. In her free time, she can be found exploring the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest and Central Virginia, one ridge at a time.

Harry Johnson, II, is a national government affairs leader, serial entrepreneur/fundraiser, and expert community builder. He is a North Carolina native where he studied political science at Winston-Salem State University. Harry leads Green for All’s federal government affairs work to promote wealth and health through equitable investment and innovation in clean transportation, clean energy, and jobs policies. Harry has formerly held a number of senior leadership political roles with multiple gubernatorial campaigns across the country, Hillary Clinton for President, Forward Together PAC, United States Congress, United States Senate, and Pittsburgh City Council.

Hong Yang is an energy data analyst for the World Bank where she works on producing knowledge and data tools related to clean energy. She participated in producing the latest Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy report and is managing the day-to-day operation of the ENERGYDATA.INFO, an open energy data platform. Hong holds a master's degree in public policy from Georgetown University. She loves doing yoga, hiking, and cooking during her free time.

Mia is a Project Manager for the Design Team at Opower (Oracle). Opower uses behavioral design to transform energy data into products that are clear, intuitive, and compelling. Our products fundamentally change people’s relationship with energy and have nudged them to save 29 TWh of energy to date. Mia loves to read and has a soft spot for sci-fi.

Jake Assael

Co-Founder, Vote Climate U.S. PAC

Jake is the Co-Founder of Vote Climate U.S., a political action committee, which creates voter guides that score presidential and congressional candidates on their climate credentials. There, he leads research on its climate change voter guides, coordinates with the media, and supervises its interns. He also works as a part-time Sustainability Advisor for the IT asset disposition company, CircleIT. Jake’s previous work experiences include garnering federal funding for coastal resilience projects and working alongside former EPA career staff and confirmation-level appointees defending against efforts to undermine public health and environmental protections. In 2019, Jake received his Master’s of Public Administration concentrating on environmental policy from American University, where he was named a William K. Reilly Scholar for environmental leadership. In his free time, you can find Jake on the tennis and basketball courts or hiking the streets of Washington, D.C.

Director of Energy, Health and Climate, Green & Healthy Homes Initiative

Jamal Lewis is the Director of Energy, Health, and Climate for the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, where he works to advance programs and policies that promote healthy, energy-efficient, and affordable housing. Jamal is a member of the Energy Efficiency and Housing Panel that was created by the New York Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, an Advisor for the Network for Energy, Water, and Health in Affordable Buildings, and a Steering Committee member of the National Safe and Healthy Housing Coalition. As a former Division I collegiate basketball player, he loves working out and playing sports. Jamal also coaches flag football for 2nd-9th grade kids and, prior to the pandemic, his 5th/6th-grade team won the league championship.

James Green is a Legislative Assistant in the Office of Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernández (NM-03) where he covers energy, environment, transportation, and innovation policy, including through the Congresswoman's work on the House Natural Resources Committee and as Chair of the Subcommittee for Indigenous Peoples of the United States. James enjoys traveling, long walks, tacos, and reading Politico Morning Energy (even on vacation).

Jasmine McAdams is a Program Officer with the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ Center for Partnerships and Innovation. She develops resources for state utility commissions on topics such as transportation electrification; carbon capture, utilization, and storage; and nuclear energy. Outside of the world of clean energy, Jasmine loves spending time near the ocean, powerlifting, bartending, and learning languages.

Jourdan M. Lewis is a Senior Policy Advisor to a member of Congress and a Policy Coordinator for a congressional committee within the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to joining the House of Representatives as staff, she was a Presidential Appointee within the Department of Energy’s Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. Ms. Lewis is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky and is a Spartan Race and mac n’ cheese enthusiast.

Joyce Bodoh is the Director of Energy Solutions and Clean Energy at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative. In her role, she oversees the co-op’s electric transportation programs, sustainability initiatives, and end-use energy services for members. She has over ten years of experience at REC and has had a variety of responsibilities in government and regulatory affairs, demand response, advanced metering, and customer service. Joyce holds a master’s in business administration from the College of William and Mary, and a bachelor’s degree in history and leadership and management from the University of Mary Washington.

Juan Botero is the Wind Wildlife Research Fund Manager at the American Wind Wildlife Institute where he collaborates with clean energy companies to support research projects aimed at expanding the ways that we avoid, minimize, and mitigate impacts from wind energy development on wildlife. Juan oversees the research project solicitation and selection process and has experience facilitating conversations between the clean energy industry and the wildlife conservation community. As an immigrant from Colombia, Juan is also passionate about ways to support the international community's transition to a more just and sustainable future. Juan is a big sports fan and loves camping with his partner Katie and their dog Moody.

LC is the Global Supply Manager at Apple, where she navigates through industry-wide supply and logistics challenges. Before joining Apple, LC worked for Capital One as a risk advisor for Commercial and Credit Card, and prior to that in IT risk management at NBC Universal. During her free time, LC enjoys painting, vintage Shiraz, and fantasy fiction books by African authors. She also loves long game nights with friends, indoor cycling, and trying new recipes from different cultures.

Mike Shuster is Manager of Research and Partnerships at the Institute for Electric Innovation—the foundation arm of the Edison Electric Institute—where he facilitates thought leadership among cleantech and utility senior executives focused on advancing engagement with residential customers, accelerating fleet electrification and green tariff programs, and rethinking energy efficiency as a carbon resource. As a former consultant and engineer with Siemens, Mike led energy infrastructure projects across all U.S. power markets including utility IRPs, PPA and M&A negotiations, and policy impact studies. Some of Mike’s non-energy interests include board games such as Settlers of Catan, fantasy football, pro bono consulting with DC nonprofits, and skiing.

Associate Program Manager, Environment & Active Transportation, AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials)

Phillip Burgoyne-Allen is the Associate Program Manager for Environment and Active Transportation at AASHTO, the nonprofit association representing state departments of transportation. In this role, he helps state DOT leaders collectively address issues like active transportation, air quality, climate change, natural resources, and sustainability. Prior to joining AASHTO, Phillip was an education policy analyst focused on advancing equity for underserved students and communities, and he has authored multiple publications on school transportation. Phillip is a native Kentuckian, attended The Ohio State University, and now lives with his wife Radhika in Washington, DC.
